I got the pair of CTX in the beginning of 2010/11 season. They were mated to 2010 K2 Dark Star 160W. Love them both!!! Looking forward to a new 2011/12 pair of CTX paired with K2 Happy Hour :)

      Have a great riding season!

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Cinch CTX:

The fast entry really makes a difference when after 5 seconds you are sliding away, dodging people strapping in.
Extremely well built and comfortable, the CTX are perfect for my all mountain riding, and in deep powder you can use the traditional straps, or kick a ledge to use the back entry.
A tool to tune the cable would have been helpful, but once you have your CTX set up they way you like them it will take you just 5 seconds to pull the highback up.
Sometimes the toe straps moves, from toe to top position when pushing. Having a way to avoid that would help too.
Other than that they are perfect power delivering machines.

I had an older pair of cinches and didn't think it could get better until i bought these here .Some of the changes like the canted footbeds and and the back buckle curved out to grab easier are changes that make a difference. Also the strap is a lot heavier duty which is nice piece of mind out on the slopes since i had mine break on the old pair.I'll admit that the front ratchet was easier to dial in but after its set you don't really touch it again.Super comfy ride try a pair you wont regret it !!!

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Cinch CTX:

I have owned some previous circa 2007 cts bindings and these had alumininum rachets toe and ankle, you now have to go to ctx to get alumunium ratches and what ever happened to the toe ratchet. Looks like k2 are shaving pennies. The adjustabilty is now more difficult to setup without the toe racthet, its also limited the ability to get in and out of the binding when in powder when you need to get out by the straps, something I liked about the old setup was you could use them like a traditional binding when in powder or getting in on steeper gradients when you cant use rear entry.
I have a set of vans boots and the heel is slightly wider than say a burton or k2 boot, the k2 binding is quite a tight fit and i have to push my heel in quite hard defeating the quick entry, k2 will probabaly say buy their boot as it fits properly but I think k2 might sell more if they accomodated other boots better; its only a few millimeters needed at the heel.

the footbed is still as mellow as ever though.
and i generally love them, but k2 bring back the toe rachet.

Replace my Flow bindings with K2 Cinch CTX. Found the K2 Cinch CTX bindings easier to release, lighter, and much more adjustments to fine tune setup. Didn't take me long to get use to them.

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Cinch CTX:

the step from the ctc to the ctx is disappointing. The base plate is to instabil and to soft. The chassis of the older versions of the cinch bindings was metal. Now it is plastics. If you ride a longer board the binding is not stabil enouth. This is not understandable for a so expensive binding.

                  Service and delivery comments:

The Chassis based on metal not on plastics.

Hi all,Sorry to put a dampener on what should be a great product but here goes,I have just returned to the UK after a weeks boarding in France, weather good, snow good, New binding NOT good.....After only the second day of use i noticed that some of the stitching along the top of one of the ankle straps was coming loose (yes only 2 days) then on day 3 things got worse my right binding (back) moved round on the disk due to no fault of mine as the screws were home good and had had some extra thread lock (Loctite 243 Blue) applied, after this happend for the second time i removed front and rear bindings and swapped the discs but still happened.....all this for only [$] bargin NOT
