Boa Conda Boots Technology

Fit on the fly

The patented K2 CONDA System allows you to tighten, loosen or adjust your liner on-the-fly – from outside of the boot! The first time you try this, you’ll wonder how you ever rode without it.

How it works: A Boa® is attached to the CONDA minimized harness is securely built into the shell of the boot and tightens around the liner to lock your foot in position. Focus is on the superior ankle support and heel hold. The harness lace is threaded through a floating tongue lace guide, allowing riders to customize fit for maximum comfort.

Double Boa Boots Technology

Fully adjustable, inside-out fit

The K2 Double Boa® System allows for separate adjustment and tightening of the liner and outer shell of the boot. Other two reel systems focus on upper and lower shell tightening. But if your liner isn't adjusted right, none of that helps. With a proper liner fit, the single coiler reel on the outer does the job.

I have suffered from "loose heel" problems my entire snowboarding career. From good old laces to the new-fangled quick-lace systems, nothing tightened enough around my ankle while still leaving my calves / feet comfortable. And then, enter the Boa Conda lacing. Even better, it actually worked. I was out riding better than I ever had with more comfort and response due to no loosey-goosey heel action while carving tight turns. Couldn't be happier!

Snowboarding is part of my job, and I was happy in these boots for 8+ hours a day. They were easy to loosen and tighten at a moment's notice. I spent a blissful 6 days with these boots until last night. Last night, I lifted up my ski pants to find that the boa lacing system on the tongue had just popped out. 3 of the 4 "L-locks" that hold it in just broke off. I had nothing traumatic happen, and didn't even whack my boots at any point during the night. What a bummer!!

Good news, K2 has a 1 year warranty. Well that's peachy, except they no longer have any snowboard boots in stock. So I can return it, go back to my old boots, and order another pair in the summer. And I am starting to think, why would I order another pair? As great as they are, if they can't even hold up for a whole week, there is no way they are making it through a tough winter and the demands that I put on them.

Great concept, K2, stick with the Boa Conda, but take a long, hard look at your construction.

I tried these on in size 6.5 3 separate times before making the purchase. They were prefect in the store - extremely comfortable to walk in (on flat ground), lightweight and warm. However, it was a different story on the slopes. My toes were suffering from excruciating pain. I contacted K2 and was advised to loosen the boots, which I did to the point of getting much heel lift, but the sharp agonizing pain never went away. I decided quit these and went back to my Burton Lodi's in 6. I have yet to feel that unbearable pain. I contact K2 again and all they said was sorry. I would not recommend these or K2 to anyone.
