Triple Boa Boots Technology

Triple Boa Boots Technology

Endo Construction Boots Technology

CONSISTENT FLEX AND FIT FOR LIFE

How it Works:
The Endo construction is based on a urethane endoskeletal structure that focuses boot structure and flex into a single engineered part. The result is a structure that flexes and returns without breaking down when compared to the stitch and glue construction of traditional boots. So you get consistent flex and a boot that returns to a neutral riding position quicker and with more energy, which helps you ride longer.

Harshmellow Boards Boots Technology

VIBRATION FORCE FIELD

K2’s proprietary vibration dampening system is built into all three of our hardgoods categories. HARSHMELLOW™ is a magical compound that maximizes FUN by decreasing negative vibes, leg burn and rough landings. Positioned in the insert area in our top end boards to stop vibrations before they enter your bindings.

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Thraxis:

After one only day of use one of the BOA for the ankle area didn´t loose anymore. My foot got stuck inside of the boot and no other way to take it off from the boot than cutting the wire.

So bad!!!! I actually bought this boots because the foot won´t move insise of the boot at all. But even when during this only day it was great that my feet were firmly fixed inside, the BOA wheels don´t feel strong enough.

To release my foot from the boot I had to cut the wire.... in a new boot!!!!

So disappointed!

    Comments about K2 Snowboarding Thraxis:

    Great Boot!!!
The tripple boa lacing system offers perfect adjustability and comfort.
The idea to have an extra boa that fixes your heel is fab.
Stiffness is just perfect. Have also tried Diver X and Mayasis.
Be careful with the Driver X. Sure it is a stiff boot but probably designed for people with fleshy heels.
It would never provide enough heel support to me no matter how hard I tied up the boot.
The Mayasis is a good and stiff boot as well but not comparable in terms of comfort to the Thraxis either.
Try to find a good shop as they heat up the liner to fit it to your foot (wouldn´t recommend using your oven at home).

    Comments about K2 Snowboarding Thraxis:

I bought this boot and after one season of snowboarding it is a noodle. I'm an average dude living near vail, ride about 4 times a week in season, and spend another 2 to 3 months each year on each of the resort hiking/splitting/mountaineering.

These boots are in no way stiff- maybe just out of the box. that is it. I used to ride nitro's with step ins until some moron in marketing decided there was no future for it. not exactly a go pro moment there.

Those nitros were some stiff as boots- that could handle steep skin tracks. these, well, they cannot. i also had a pair of k2's for the step ins and threw them out after a month. udon noodle soft.

Like the looks. plenty warm. cool lacing system (though it jams up on my pant cuff and goes undone alot). good boot for the resort comfy cruising, but doesn't cut bait. this boot ain't for any real charging.

like k2 famously said a few years back, "If it was easy, it'd be called snowboarding".

that tells you all you need to know about the company core values for riders. ouch.

    Comments about K2 Snowboarding Thraxis:

I purchased K2 thraxis series 11 2012 at Christmas for a trip to whistler Canada. I like my boots to be tight fitting and responsive. So I purchased one size smaller, a size 8 UK, to allow for packing out, my everyday boots being size 9 UK. Last season I wore Vans Cirro boa system. I have two issues with the K2 Thraxis boots, the first being the poor quality and standard of manufacturing. These are the most expensive snowboard boots on the market so one expects quality. After only 10 days of riding the material on the top inside tongue of the boot has come away and worn. The material on the inside back of the inner liner has come away. They look like they have done two seasons with everyday on the mountain. The second issue is to do with the top boa. I have what I consider average size calves for a snowboarder not too thin or too fat. When I purchased the boots, I tested the fit to ensure that they would lock down well . After only a few days out I found that the top section of the boot s were getting difficult to tighten enough to give a good tight fit round the leg. This was allowing my leg forward and rear movement l in the boots particularly on turns. It was if the boa or boot s have stretched and the boa had run out of travel. It was like riding in wellington boots - no response whatsoever. These boots are unusable in there current condition. At[$] or [$] that's not what I call acceptable!

    Comments about K2 Snowboarding Thraxis:

The fur stuff is awesome. They LOOK real nice. I really really wanted these boots to work out but they could not. Like the others said, way too pinchy/tight at top of boot. I think its a combination of boots may be too short, plus design issues. maybe not tapered enough for the calf. I tried on many boots all in size 9.5 in one 3 hour session. even though the thraxis were 40% on sale, i walked away with some driver x boots and some DC scouts. Driver x= stiffest plus comfy. DC status= awesome heelhold, very VERY comfy, and also stiff enough for freeride.

      Comments about K2 Snowboarding Thraxis:

I have had these boots for a while, they pinch around the ankles. I deal with the ankle pinch because I can't return them due to use and can't afford to buy new boots. They're solid boots, but they hurt around the ankles. Also these boots are abnormally bulky. Skip these, look at Ride or Burton's boots. First pair of K2 boots, now I wouldn't trust them for any other boots. They felt fine in the store, but kill my ankles when I ride.

      Comments about K2 Snowboarding Thraxis:

I tried the boot out. so uncomfortable and painful. there is way too much play in the ankle area. i had to crank down the inner boa so much to stop heel lift that i lost feeling everywhere. The boot was the right size but they were so sloppy. the are ultra stiff, which is ok, but when combined with how sloppy they are its not so great. NOT worth your money.
the 3 boas are cool... great idea, horrible design. Try again K2

      Comments about K2 Snowboarding Thraxis:

Little bit pinchy near the boa cable's exit point into the inner boot. I'm returning them, partially for that, but mostly because these are way too boxy for my narrow feet. your mileage may vary but there's no doubt that the pinch is there, and the tongue liner is a bit beefy. Try before you buy, is all. Still giving it a good score, for the interesting tech and solid build, but these boots fit somewhat abnormally, I'd say, compared to the 6 or 7 salomon, burtons I've used.
