Triple Boa Boots Technology

Ultimate adjustability

with 3 boa control reels there is nothing you can't customize with this system. 2 boa reels make up the boa focus system with it's upper and lower zone tightening. Then the third reel adjusts the BoaConda internal liner tightening.

Triple Boa Boots Technology

Endo Construction Boots Technology

A BREAKTHOUGH BOOT FLEX & CONSTRUCTION

A complete rethink of how a boot is constructed and flexes. Based on a urethane endoskeletal structure that focuses the flex into a single part as apposed to stressing synthetic leather and stitch lines to get flex. Using one engineered part opened up a world of purpose-built flex design that our engineers then spent hundreds of on-snow hours tuning until they arrived at the perfect flex for each model.

Endo Construction Boots Technology

Harshmellow - Boots Boots Technology

HEELS REJOICE

Formulated for long lasting impact absorption and vibration killing, the same Harshmellow material used in boards and bindings can be found in our boots. Integrated in the heel and forefoot areas of our top boots, minimizing rebound and making landings softer and more controlled.

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Thraxis:

I purchased K2 thraxis series 11 2012 at Christmas for a trip to whistler Canada. I like my boots to be tight fitting and responsive. So I purchased one size smaller, a size 8 UK, to allow for packing out, my everyday boots being size 9 UK. Last season I wore Vans Cirro boa system. I have two issues with the K2 Thraxis boots, the first being the poor quality and standard of manufacturing. These are the most expensive snowboard boots on the market so one expects quality. After only 10 days of riding the material on the top inside tongue of the boot has come away and worn. The material on the inside back of the inner liner has come away. They look like they have done two seasons with everyday on the mountain. The second issue is to do with the top boa. I have what I consider average size calves for a snowboarder not too thin or too fat. When I purchased the boots, I tested the fit to ensure that they would lock down well . After only a few days out I found that the top section of the boot s were getting difficult to tighten enough to give a good tight fit round the leg. This was allowing my leg forward and rear movement l in the boots particularly on turns. It was if the boa or boot s have stretched and the boa had run out of travel. It was like riding in wellington boots - no response whatsoever. These boots are unusable in there current condition. At[$] or [$] that's not what I call acceptable!

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Thraxis:

The fur stuff is awesome. They LOOK real nice. I really really wanted these boots to work out but they could not. Like the others said, way too pinchy/tight at top of boot. I think its a combination of boots may be too short, plus design issues. maybe not tapered enough for the calf. I tried on many boots all in size 9.5 in one 3 hour session. even though the thraxis were 40% on sale, i walked away with some driver x boots and some DC scouts. Driver x= stiffest plus comfy. DC status= awesome heelhold, very VERY comfy, and also stiff enough for freeride.

    Comments about K2 Snowboarding Thraxis:

I have had these boots for a while, they pinch around the ankles. I deal with the ankle pinch because I can't return them due to use and can't afford to buy new boots. They're solid boots, but they hurt around the ankles. Also these boots are abnormally bulky. Skip these, look at Ride or Burton's boots. First pair of K2 boots, now I wouldn't trust them for any other boots. They felt fine in the store, but kill my ankles when I ride.

    Comments about K2 Snowboarding Thraxis:

I tried the boot out. so uncomfortable and painful. there is way too much play in the ankle area. i had to crank down the inner boa so much to stop heel lift that i lost feeling everywhere. The boot was the right size but they were so sloppy. the are ultra stiff, which is ok, but when combined with how sloppy they are its not so great. NOT worth your money.
the 3 boas are cool... great idea, horrible design. Try again K2

    Comments about K2 Snowboarding Thraxis:

Little bit pinchy near the boa cable's exit point into the inner boot. I'm returning them, partially for that, but mostly because these are way too boxy for my narrow feet. your mileage may vary but there's no doubt that the pinch is there, and the tongue liner is a bit beefy. Try before you buy, is all. Still giving it a good score, for the interesting tech and solid build, but these boots fit somewhat abnormally, I'd say, compared to the 6 or 7 salomon, burtons I've used.
