Boa Conda Boots Technology

PATENTED LINER FIT PERFECTION

The patented K2 CONDA System allows you to tighten, loosen or adjust your liner on-the-fly – from outside of the boot! The first time you try this, you’ll wonder how you ever rode without it.
How it works: Whether attached to a Boa® reel or part of our K2 Conda™ system, the CONDA minimized harness is securely built into the shell of the boot and tightens around the liner to lock your foot in position. Focus is on the superior ankle support and heel hold. The harness lace is threaded through a floating tongue lace guide, allowing riders to customize fit for maximum comfort.

Harshmellow Boards Boots Technology

VIBRATION FORCE FIELD

K2’s proprietary vibration dampening system is built into all three of our hardgoods categories. HARSHMELLOW™ is a magical compound that maximizes FUN by decreasing negative vibes, leg burn and rough landings. Positioned in the insert area in our top end boards to stop vibrations before they enter your bindings.

      Comments about K2 Snowboarding Contour:

This is the lightest and stiffest pair of boots I've ever had. I like a stiff boot, I'm in them maybe 5 days a week all winter. These boots continue to provide amazing support day after day!
The double boa system is my favorite!!! I was initially skeptical, but it rocks! It keeps my foot secure and is so easy to adjust on the hill!--Love it!! The grey ones from this year are soo cute too!

        Comments about K2 Snowboarding Contour:

this boot is a serious boot. i like my boards to be flexy and my high backs to move with me.. but i love a stiff boot. that is why i love my contour bd boots. the first pair i rode was six years ago and i have never looked back.. this bood can literally be made too tight. (which is a very good problem... )

this boot fits my foot like k2 used my foot to mold the shape.. but my ride buddy said the same thing of her contours... so it might be the sweet design of the double boa system that fit and performs so well!

i ride just about every day, and usually take it bell to bell... my last pair was finally retired at mt. hood after my last ride day in august, they must have had 200 days on my feet!! still kickin and riding great, just stinking it up and time for a new pair!!

i guess you could say i like this boot a little bit.

          Comments about K2 Snowboarding Contour:

This boot does it all. It fits so well right out of the box and then after having it on for a few minutes it feels even better. Then when you get out on the hill, the good fit feeling goes on and on.

The boa system is the way to go. I like to compare using the boa system versus laces, to using a computer versus a typewriter. It's faster, it's convenient, it's adjustable on the fly - frankly, it's just better than traditional laces.

I definitely noticed the harshmellow in the soles of my boots. It feels like walking on bouncy clouds. It feels great to have less vibration under my feet when riding and I'm generally less fatigued by the end of the day.

If you crank that boa all the way it's likely the stiffest women's boot on the market. Conversely, if you want to loosen it up and play around in the park, it's simple to adjust and completely changes the way the boot flexes and feels.

Like any other boots, they take some breaking in. Mine took a good 6 or 7 days before they were what I would describe today as AMAZING! It took some time, but now they're fantastic. Have patience when breaking them in. Comfortable, tight enough, slight pack-out in the toes to have just enough room to wiggle, but not be too big.

I wouldn't recommend these to beginner riders. You really have to work them because they are so stiff. But stiff means responsive, so if you want high performance and if you're riding 50+ days a year, this boot will last and keep up with you. It's less of a park/freestyle boot, but with the boa system, you can adjust the stiffness to be slightly softer if you so choose.

I think it's pretty rare to have such an aggressive boot feel so comfortable. How do you do it, K2? :)

          Comments about K2 Snowboarding Contour:

This is one of the lightest boots I've ever owned! I ordered this online, without first trying on...my bad. I've always worn a size 8, but my toes hit the end of these. I had a local shop stretch the super comfy liners, and that did the trick. With a little use, the footbeds mold to your feet for a cush ride. These are WAY stiffer than what I'm used to, so I had to loosen the Boa up on my shins. That helped me out. I'm hoping, with more use, they loosen up some. My feet were warm and dry. So incredibly easy to get on and off...no more laces for this girl!

          Comments about K2 Snowboarding Contour:

I keep buying these boots! I've gone through 3 pairs. Each pair has seen over 100 days per season. And they hold up until the end. They are definitely a stiffer boot. That first week or two is rough.. but still not bad. My feet are warm and comfy. Like anything, ya gotta break it in. I buy a half size smaller than my shoe size because at the end of the season they get packed out. Its been over 4 years since my first pair. Today actually was the first time i broke a Boa. Im not even mad, HA! I put them through the wringer and they rock! Ill be buying a new pair and a new lace system for the present pair.

I ride Big mountain all year round but when I choose to take a run through the park I go for it. I just loosin my boa a big to get a bit more flex and im good to go.

SO if you want a boot thats gonna hold up and help you charge and KEEP up with the boys this is the boot!
****All they need to do is cooler colors! like NEON Yellow Or NEON Purple.. or i dunno BRIGHT RED Why do guys get all the cool colors! :)

            Comments about K2 Snowboarding Contour:

I have suffered from "loose heel" problems my entire snowboarding career. From good old laces to the new-fangled quick-lace systems, nothing tightened enough around my ankle while still leaving my calves / feet comfortable. And then, enter the Boa Conda lacing. Even better, it actually worked. I was out riding better than I ever had with more comfort and response due to no loosey-goosey heel action while carving tight turns. Couldn't be happier!

Snowboarding is part of my job, and I was happy in these boots for 8+ hours a day. They were easy to loosen and tighten at a moment's notice. I spent a blissful 6 days with these boots until last night. Last night, I lifted up my ski pants to find that the boa lacing system on the tongue had just popped out. 3 of the 4 "L-locks" that hold it in just broke off. I had nothing traumatic happen, and didn't even whack my boots at any point during the night. What a bummer!!

Good news, K2 has a 1 year warranty. Well that's peachy, except they no longer have any snowboard boots in stock. So I can return it, go back to my old boots, and order another pair in the summer. And I am starting to think, why would I order another pair? As great as they are, if they can't even hold up for a whole week, there is no way they are making it through a tough winter and the demands that I put on them.

Great concept, K2, stick with the Boa Conda, but take a long, hard look at your construction.

                  Comments about K2 Snowboarding Contour:

I tried these on in size 6.5 3 separate times before making the purchase. They were prefect in the store - extremely comfortable to walk in (on flat ground), lightweight and warm. However, it was a different story on the slopes. My toes were suffering from excruciating pain. I contacted K2 and was advised to loosen the boots, which I did to the point of getting much heel lift, but the sharp agonizing pain never went away. I decided quit these and went back to my Burton Lodi's in 6. I have yet to feel that unbearable pain. I contact K2 again and all they said was sorry. I would not recommend these or K2 to anyone.
