yo shredders, this board is awesome. i use this board pretty much every day and i am still tearin it up on the slopes. you can cruise pretty fast on this puppy and its go sick pop too. sick on rails. sick on the slopes. sick on jumps. all together sick board. the only thing i dont like is that its not the most colorful board out there but still. id rather get a sick board that doesnt look all that great than get a sick lookin board that sucks. if your looking for an affordable board thats pretty sick. get this board for sure. thanks k2 for making my day. props

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Darkstar:
So yeah, this board is pretty sick. It feels real responsive and has pretty good flex too. I was doin some sick stuff with it right off the bat. You can definitely feel how good the board is when your cruisin on it. My buddy is jealous because his board sucks compared to this one. I pretty much showed him up with this board when we were shredding. Its super sick in the park. No problem hittin jumps and rails. Also crazy good just free riding. You can cruise pretty fast with this board. Awesome stuff. Props to K2. Peace out fellow Shredmiesters.

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Darkstar:
I was looking for a shorter board to use in the Spring (and to replace the Makinen). I've known about the Darkstar for years and the 152 fit the bill perfectly in terms of the specs. It's got just the perfect flex, not too soft, not too firm. The board just wants to pop off of EVERYTHING, making the mtn a total playground. I couldn't help myself. Rotating the board is super easy. The hybritaper is for real! I didn't have any problem bombing runs either. The Darkstar wasn't any less stable when I was maxing out at speed. Very very pleased. Next test was the park. I don't go huge...ride the "medium" parks. The last kicker had about a 20 ft. top. Even in the soft, wet snow, the board (freshly waxed though) gave me enough speed to clear the top. Landing was stable, not any less stable than my 156 Custom.
Minor complaint: It's more like a note actually. The base is not nearly as high quality as my Custom V Rocker or my Custom. It's noticeably slower even with a fresh wax but the V Rocker is insanely fast. I know it's a shorter board as well so it's not exactly fair. The Darkstar is $160 less (MSRP) than the V Rocker so that's not exactly fair either. Overall, the Darkstar is an amazing value and rides as well as more expensive boards.
BOTTOM LINE: If you're looking for a twin board that is just super playful to ride the whole mtn on, GET THE DARKSTAR. You will not regret it. Sick board, sick price...makes you wanna ride all day.

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Darkstar:
I use the product for both free-riding and in the park, and this board excels in both fronts. With free-riding, I am consistently the first one down the hill, not because everyone sucks, but because this board shreds so fast. It's also lightweight and poppy for the park. Perfect board for everything I do.

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Darkstar:
great board, loads of pop with those carbon torsion forks, lands smooth, very fast, low swing weight thanks to the uber thin tapered tips. im 145lbs ride mainly park, as far as jumps and a few rails here and there. its a little stiff for a 157 but thats just my mistake for gettin kinda of a big board. if you want an all around awsome board get this, all my friends that have tried it loved it, and plan on gettin one. but if you plan on uson more of the jib and still want a freestyle board, go a level smaller then your weight.
