Mason Aguirre’s board of choice, the 2012 K2 Parkstar is equipped with the new TweakendTM baseline upgrade for improved pressing and landing stability. Made for the rider who wants to rip laps through the park & pipe or take a freestyle mindset anywhere on the mountain.
A revolutionary tweek to the ends of our industry leading Baseline technology. By extending the Baseline rocker all the way out to the absolute ends of the board, new ride-able surface is unlocked, giving you a bigger, more stable platform to press, float and land on.
Always improving the feel and energy return of our boards, the R+D group releases the CARBON WEB rider input/output system. Offered in two levels of sensitivity. Resulting in a more connected feedback loop from terrain to rider.
Hybritaper takes our Hybritech Construction, and tapers out the core at the tip and tail to reduce the swing weight. We blend the tips from a cap into a thin sandwich removing material where you don’t need it.

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Parkstar:
The board for everything. And not just anything a bit. i can ride the slopes on highspeed, jib rails and boxes, even powder when i put my bindings on the last positions. good stability on jumps. graphic is awesome. just the base is a bit boring on the 152. No need to size it down for the park. It spins much faster than any other board the same size. you don`t catch the edge on rails with the flatline. Just the topsheet gets scratched pretty easy.

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Parkstar:
Absolutely love this board, if you're considering it, buy it. Rides so nice in all kinds of conditions. I rode in deep pow, park, ice and packed pow and it was truly a treat. Pop was great, held lines really well and was super responsive. I was a little hesitant to buy it because of the name and I am more of an all mountain type dude. Honestly i am totally happy with how it handled everything. The only thing i did change was setting back my bindings off center for a 2+ foot pow day. But other than that I haven't needed to do anything different. Wish it wouldnt chip and it would be the only board i would ever need to buy!

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Parkstar:
I purchased this board after owning the WWW rocker. I loved the weapon but I wanted something that was a little stiffer for larger jumps. Before I get to the cons I would like to point out that I absolutely love this board. The flex, and weight are perfect. What is upsetting is the fact that after every day of riding park I find a new dent, chip or split in/on the board. The second day of riding this board the top sheet on the nose split and peeled 6 inches inward.
I still ride and would recommend this board. K2-Possible to fix the weakness of this board?
