Ollie Bar Snowboards Technology

Pop comes pre-loaded

The Ollie bar is a totally new approach to adding pop to a snowboard. Built in place in a pre-loaded, cambered shape it solves the concern that rocker board don’t have the pop camber board have.Made with a secret layup of carbon, Kevlar and urethane layers, the ollie bar is positioned in the center of the board between the binding inserts. Strong ollies and pressing power doesn’t come from the tail alone. The backbone center section is actually more critical for smooth even pressure. You gotta try it to believe the pop.

Hybrilight Construction Snowboards Technology

Less waste, more shred!

K2’s exclusive Hybrilight construction features a thin, constant thickness sidewall designed for maximum performance and minimal material usage. The result is a lighter, more advanced snowboard with significantly less waste produced in manufacturing. Better on hill and greener for the hill.

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Slayblade:

I've been riding 23 years and this is the best do it all "quiver of one" board I have ever ridden. It just seems to man handle every condition and terrain thrown it's way: powder, groomers, slush, chunder, ice, trees, park, pipe, etc. It's stable/solid/predictable/damp(without being heavy)for high speed free riding, but still rides light and lively with plenty of pop in the park/pipe. My only complaint, the top sheet dings/chips easily. BUT - for everything else it delivers, it's absolutely worth it.

    Comments about K2 Snowboarding Slayblade:

I recently took this board out for the first time to Snowshoe WV and it was great. The conditions varied over the mountain because of the wind so I rode on groomers, powder and a bit of ice. I don't ride park but it was great on everything else. It handled the groomed and icy runs exceptionally well and didn't have any problem in the 7-8 inches of fresh snow on the runs that had it. It turns much faster than my Burton Custom (camber) and is more stable at higher speeds. I got great feedback from the board the faster I went. If you're looking for a quiver of one (with park being a possible exception since it is pretty stiff) this would be a great board to try.

    Comments about K2 Snowboarding Slayblade:

Well, after most of a season I'm finally going to reveiw my new, awesome board. I have the 2011 version and I'm not too sure how much this year's or 2013 will vary but there's no way they can improve very much. I bought this board super cheap ([$]) as a demo from the local ski/board place. There were already some dings on it from the previous season's use but I have already put some more on from grazing trees and rocks while OB. As many of the other reveiws of this and th Turbodream have already stated, the top-sheet dings really easily. Now, let's talk about how this thing handles. To start off, do NOT buy this as your first board. You will crash 3x more than your buddies on softer, flexier boards. This is the stiffest thing I have seen anyone on my mountain riding albeit some racing skis. I have trouble with rails because of this. But the reason you'd crash from the stiffness is how fast this turns, after riding my Anagram for three years, this was scary the first day out. It rides normally in powder but on groomed stuff it's almost as responsive as a carveboard. I ride burton cartels and I can put this board anywhere it'll physically fit. This will also drag you down the hill. The 0 sintered base is crazy fast. The harshmellow make mounting bindings a bit difficult but not too hard. Overall, if you're experienced and "Go big or go home" this is your choice.

after riding various boards over the last 15 years (santa cruz, rossinol, and VH) I decided to switch to K2 and went all out. I bought the slayblade board, K2 cinch ctx bindings, and k2 maysis boots... I had to say the money was well spent. Amazing smooth ride even in icy condition, extremely responsive, and super fast.... It's totally worth spending the money!!!I cant wait till next year when i take this set up to canada and aspen!!!

This was only my second time snowboarding and it was snowing hard. 18 inches of fresh powder and just as advertised this board took it on with no problem. Even a beginner like myself can ride and grow with this board. It transitions so smoothly and speeds over the deepest fresh powder.

              Comments about K2 Snowboarding Slayblade:

This is my first board. I just took it on the slopes in Utah and the flatline was outstanding. I've tried regular camber boards and had little success. After a day of practice, I felt comfortable riding on just about anything save the back country blacks - of course, that's just me, not the board's fault. It handles the crud ok. Powder is where it shines. The faster you go, the better the board gets. The simple answer is, go slayblade flatline and never look back.

Just used the board at Heavenly Lake Tahoe Dec 2010. Great all-mountain board with perfect flex. On groomers it held well and was very stable. First time in real powder between trees and had no problems. With the stiffer Burton Co2 bindings there is heaps of control and suited my downhill all mountain style of riding. Flatline base is not edgey on flat cat tracks which was a concern, if anything better then a cambered board. You will not regret buying this board!

                  Comments about K2 Snowboarding Slayblade:

I am an intermediate rider and just bought my first professional board. The Slayblade.
I am using the board for powdering, tricks and all mountain riding and I really have to say that this board is just amazing. Very fast, stable and just perfect for powder and tricks.
I would not recommend this board to a beginner becaues the Flatline technology it is harder to navigate than a traditional camber or rocker board.
If you want a perfekt board for everything, which just looks great you will love the Slayblade.
